The Earle Baum Center holds numerous events each year. These include summer picnics, fundraising and holiday events and other social gatherings. The Special Event Assistants help prepare the facility, assist in food preparation and service, and welcome, direct and accompany guests. Depending on the event, the Special Event Assistant may assist with publicity and fundraising efforts. Duties range from setting up chairs and tables, cooking, cutting and plating food, site preparation and cleanup.

Description
The Earle Baum Center of the Blind (EBC) is a regional training and community center, serving persons who are blind and visually impaired throughout Northern California. The EBC,opened on October 1, 1999 provides instruction in the following areas: Daily Living Skills, Orientation & Mobility and Assistive Technology. In addition, the Center offers a wide range of sports, recreational and social opportunities.
