There are opportunities to volunteer at Ranken Jordan. We are dedicated to working with those who are willing to give their time and energy to help us provide quality care to the children and families we serve.
Please know volunteers at Ranken Jordan are held to the following expectations and requirements...
o Be 16 years of age or older to volunteer
o Attend a Volunteer Orientation before beginning
o Submit at least one Reference form
o Receive a TB test at orientation and Flu shot
o Commit to a Consistent Schedule- As a Volunteer, you are committed to volunteering consistently one time a week for two hours. This schedule needs to be consistent for you and for Ranken Jordan each week. We ask that you complete a minimum of 40 hours of service before leaving Ranken Jordan’s Volunteer Program. Our Volunteers are our Partners in Care and we depend on them for the work and support we provide daily.
o "Consider the Children in All You Do" -When you volunteer at Ranken Jordan, your day becomes all about the patients, families, and facility - what the Hospital needs to take care of the patients
o Being Flexible - As a Volunteer, you are committed to being flexibleand willing to do what it takes to provide support. (There are times that deadlines must be met, order of priorities change, etc., and it is critical to access all possible manpower.) Volunteers must be willing to work outside of usual job descriptions with things such as providing sibling care, organizing closets, filling supplies, cleaning, etc.
o Communication - Volunteers must be committed to open and honest communication and willing to communicate concerns to the appropriate staff member. In addition you must be comfortable asking for assistance, guidance, and direction as needed.
If you are willing to dedicate to the expectations and feel you can meet this 100%, please let us know by filling out our online application at www.rankenjordan.org.

About Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital
11365 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, US
It is our goal for every child that first comes through our doors to one day see them leave both physically and emotionally stronger than they were when they first came in.
Ranken Jordan is a place for children stuck in the middle--too sick to go home, yet to well to stay in the hospital. Kids come to us for sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation, treatment for complex medical conditions, and more. We provide care and support for both the children and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
Ranken Jordan is private and there are only 5 others like it in the entire country. Many of the children that come to us are under the federal poverty level and due to income or insurance limitations cannot receive the on-going therapy and medical treatment that is necessary to make a full recovery--and that is where we come in!
We'll work with your schedule.
