Role Overview:

The JJ Center Inc., a compassionate 501(c)(3) faith-based organization, is seeking a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to develop compelling visual content that elevates our brand presence across various digital platforms. This virtual volunteer role offers a fantastic opportunity to utilize your graphic design expertise, primarily within Canva and CapCut, to produce impactful materials ranging from engaging social media visuals and informative flyers to branded merchandise mockups and personalized communication designs. As our Volunteer Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in ensuring a consistent and visually appealing brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and design visually engaging graphics for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), adhering to platform best practices.

  • Create impactful marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures, and mockups for items such as lanyards.

  • Develop personalized visual messages and graphics for volunteer recognition and other organizational communications.

  • Proficiently utilize Canva to produce high-quality static and dynamic graphics.

  • Employ CapCut to create short, engaging video content and incorporate graphics effectively.

  • Maintain and contribute to a consistent brand visual language across all design projects.

  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative concepts and contribute to content strategy development from a visual perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canva and a strong understanding of its design capabilities.

  • Experience with CapCut for basic video editing and incorporating graphics is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of graphic design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

  • A keen eye for visual aesthetics and a passion for creating impactful designs.

  • Familiarity with social media design trends and best practices for various platforms.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet agreed-upon deadlines.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Portfolio or examples of design work demonstrating your skills (Canva links or image files are welcome).

  • Guardian approval required if under 18.
