About the Refugee Resettlement Program:

Endeavors opened the Refugee Resettlement Program in 2024 and welcomes overseas refugees and other ORR-eligible populations by working directly with cleients and their US based families for up to one year after their arrival time to ensure that their hosuing meets their familly, cultural, and geographic needs. Endeavors provides rental assistance, food and clothing support, case management, and connects these families to vital social services including school, medical and mental health services, food stamps, employement and other assistance as appropriate.

About Volunteering:

Endeavors is seeking volunteers to support our Refugee Services team with various tasks. The volunteer role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside case managers and the Refugee Resettlement team in delivering essential services to newly arrived refugees in Austin, TX.

Volunteers needed for various roles such as:

  • Providing support in delivering cultural orientation sessions to refugee families
  • Assisting case managers in scheduling appointments and coordinating logistics for families
  • Using personal vehicle to provide transportation to appointments for clients when needed
  • Helping with transition services for clients
  • Helping clients with bus orientation
  • Helping with job readiness training and digital literacy
  • Completing various administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pass a background check and posses a current, valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Committment to Endeavors' volunteer policies
  • Preferred background in Social Work or related field
  • Demonstrated passion for imigrants rights, social justice, and a committment to helping newcomer families transition to life in the U.S.
  • Shifts can vary depending on needs of clint
