The 24th Annual Tee Up Golf Classic will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, RI. Join us as a volunteer! We have different time frames and roles available.

This golf tournament benefits Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) supporting type 1 diabetes research.


Date: Monday, July 14, 2025

Roles include event setup, games, auction and ballroom setup, golfer registration, food/drink distribution, and course cleanup.

  • Mon Jul 14, 2025 - 05:30 AM to 11:00 AM EST - Spots available: 10+
    Event Set-Up and On-Course Games: Help unload equipment and deliver signage and supplies to designated tents. Place player gift bags on golf carts.
  • Mon Jul 14, 2025 - 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM EST - Spots available: 5
    Auction and Ballroom Set-Up: This role involves setting up all auction items, props, and item description sheets.
  • Mon Jul 14, 2025 - 10:30 AM to 04:30 PM EST - Spots available: 10+
    Golfer Registration and On-Course Games: Greet golfers as they arrive and direct them to the registration area. Assist with game package sales.
  • Mon Jul 14, 2025 - 11:30 AM to 04:30 PM EST - Spots available: 10+
    Food/Drink/Ice Distribution and Course Clean-Up: Distribute food and beverages to the golfers. Drive golf cart (must be 16+).

Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, Breakthrough T1D is now the largest charitable supporter of T1D research. The goal of Breakthrough T1D research is to improve the lives of all people affected by T1D by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing T1D.

Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Breakthrough T1D works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people-and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it-by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community. We’ve funded more than $2 billion in research to date and made significant progress in understanding and fighting the disease.

T1D is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly, and can be fatal. Until a cure is found, people with T1D have to test their blood sugar and give themselves insulin injections multiple times or use a pump - each day, every day of their lives. And even with that intensive care, insulin is not a cure for diabetes, nor does it prevent its eventual and devastating complications, which may include kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, and amputation.
