plug planting

Join us as we plant plugs at Saw Mill Creek Marsh in order to restore this vital ecosystem. Urban wetlands provide a variety of benefits including improved water quality and storm water retention. They also serve as critical habitat for native wildlife! Please note, volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes. We also encourage volunteers to bring their own water bottles. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. To register a group of 10 or more, please email stewardship@parks.nyc.gov
