Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support our fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong writing skills and a desire to make a tangible impact on gender equity and women's empowerment. The Grant Writer will research, draft, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with WEI’s mission and programs.
  • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather data and success stories for proposals.
  • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  • Assist in tracking grant outcomes and preparing reports for funders.
  • Help build and maintain a database of grant opportunities and submissions.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written communication and research skills.
  • Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising (preferred but not required).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for women’s rights, gender equity, and international development.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
