Opportunity Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our nonprofit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization’s programs and initiatives. This role requires strong technical writing skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a passion for supporting our mission through effective grant acquisition.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources and grant opportunities relevant to our organization’s goals.
  • Write compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate program objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
  • Edit and proofread grant proposals to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop project descriptions and budgets that align with grant requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals and track their status
  • Manage contracts associated with awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
  • Provide technical writing support for reports and documentation related to grant-funded projects.
  • Assist in program development by identifying needs and opportunities for new initiatives based on funding trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in grant proposal writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
  • Strong research skills to identify potential grants and funding opportunities.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in technical writing, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience using grant management software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Passionate Percussion Inc. is a youth development organization dedicated to empowering young
people through the transformative power of music, particularly in the area of marching
percussion. Founded in 2021, our mission is to support and expand youth music programs,
providing high-quality music education, mentorship, and personal development opportunities in
underserved communities. We aim to foster discipline, teamwork, self-expression, and leadership
skills through music, creating a positive and lasting impact on the lives of young people.

Our services include percussion training, community workshops, youth mentorship programs,
and music camps. We work directly with schools, churches, and community organizations to
create tailored music programs that meet the unique needs of each group. Additionally, we
provide long-term support to ensure the program's sustainability, offering strategic guidance for
maintaining and growing youth music initiatives.
