DESCRIPTION
Help inspire the next generation of girls in tech! Buttercup STEAM Camp is seeking volunteers to support our fun, hands-on summer day camp that introduces girls of color (ages 8-14) to robotics, coding, and creative technology through a unique Steampunk theme.

Campers will build robots, fly simulators, code interactive projects, and design STEAM-powered art-all in a supportive, girl-centered environment.

Volunteer Roles Include:

  • Assisting instructors with coding and robotics activities
  • Supervising small group projects (no tech experience needed!)
  • Helping with check-in, snacks, and camper support
  • Supporting our Friday family showcase
  • (Optional) Photography and content documentation

Camp Dates & Volunteer Times:

  • Beginner Camp: June 9-13, 2025
  • Intermediate Camp: June 23-27, 2025
  • Volunteer shifts between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Half-day and full-day options available

Buttercup STEAM Camp operates under the umbrella of Art Is King, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that champions creativity, mentorship, and education in underserved communities. Through this partnership, we combine artistic expression with technical education, ensuring that every camper has the tools to succeed in STEAM fields. Donations to Buttercup STEAM Camp through Art Is King are tax-deductible and directly support our mission to empower girls.
