We’re excited to share summer volunteer opportunities for high school students (grades 9-12) on the West Side! If you know any students who are looking to earn service hours, build their resume, or simply make a difference, we’d love your help spreading the word. About Us: J3 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides free after-school reading programs in partnership with high-need schools serving students of color. Our mission is to equip 4th-grade scholars with the skills, habits, confidence, and book access they need for a lifetime of reading success. Learn more at J3FoundationLA.org Volunteer Roles (All based in our Brentwood office):Office Help - Support with simple, routine office tasks on a set weekday. Library Maintenance - Tape books, update our database, and help manage our growing book collection. Summer Prep - Assist with organizing and prepping materials for the upcoming school year.

J3 Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to give kids the foundation they need for a lifetime of reading success.

We strive to equip 4th graders in communities with fewer resources with the tools they need to help them reach grade level literacy and foster:positive self image, self confidence, a supportive community, a new love of reading, an identity as a reader.
