ORGANIZATION: LEARN FRESH EDUCATION CO

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Learn Fresh is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing innovative STEM learning experiences that empower educators and inspire students. Through community, play, and rigorous exploration, Learn Fresh programs leverage students’ passion for sports and entertainment to inspire their STEM and social-emotional learning. By bringing students’ genuine interests into the classroom, Learn Fresh programs foster a lifelong enthusiasm for learning.

Since our founding, Learn Fresh has explicitly focused on achieving equitable representation across the STEM pipeline for girls, students of color, and those living in low-income communities. To date, our programming has engaged nearly one million students and over 9,000 educators across the US and beyond.

Learn Fresh partners with over 30 professional sports organizations to create an authentic and immersive experience for our students. Our flagship program, NBA Math Hoops, is a comprehensive community program, digital and physical board games, mobile app, and classroom curriculum. The program develops students’ algebra readiness prior to entering high school, while strengthening important skills including self-regulation and executive function. Students who complete the program demonstrate a 30 percent increase in math achievement over their peers in a traditional math curriculum and an overwhelming 93 percent of educators report that their students now find math to be more accessible, relevant, and engaging! Our fast-growing program, MLB STEM League infuses STEM and social emotional learning into the culturally rich and fast-paced game of baseball. Now entering its third season, the program has already engaged over 20,000 students across the U.S. and Central and Latin America. In 2024, Learn Fresh is launching two new programs MLS STEM Goals and EcoTour.

Learn Fresh is seeking ambitious, enthusiastic young professionals to join our Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). Members of the ELC aid in building awareness for Learn Fresh and its programs across the United States. The Council will collaborate to host networking events (ex: Happy Hours, Prospective Donor Events, etc.) for Learn Fresh in their respective regions, as well as drive the development of donor events and campaigns (including end of year giving efforts).
