The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia need us now more than ever. With a goal of raising over $228,000 in Santa Cruz it takes a strong committee all year to make this event happen here in Sonoma County. We are looking for Committee members to help us promote the event and fundraising efforts, and make it an even better and bigger success this year. We are looking for volunteers to assist with community engagement efforts including but not limited to recruiting new teams, engaging with local businesses, recognizing donors and fundraisers, and building public awareness through media outlets. We meet virtually or in person approximately once a month but attendance is not required to help fill a role - whether it be postings on social media, phoning past teams/participants, reaching out to companies for sponsorships and so much more - every little bit helps.
If you would like more information about the Committee and/or are interested in joining our team, please contact our Walk to End Alzheimer's Walk Team, at santacruzwalk@alz.org or (408) 372.9904.
Make a difference in the lives of the individuals and families living with Alzheimer's disease by helping us put on our annual fundraiser!
