Our Cross Skills Challenge is a seires of competitive physical skills for youth ages 8-14. These one day events are designed to engage participants in the application and appreciation of various physical activities. The youth event volunteer will assist in the organization and mangement of these events under supervision of the board of directors of the Lewis Sports Foundation. Our Cross Skills events are on the following dates and locations: June 17- Eagan, MN: July 1 - Fridley, MN; July 31 Clearwater, MN.

Mission Statement

The Lewis Sports Foundation is a dedicated to provide resources to America’s youth in various communities for the development of life skills through education and physical activity. Founded in 1999 by Leo Lewis, the Lewis Sports Foundation (LSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service organization dedicated to providing our youth with the tools to develop life skills through education and physical activity.

Description

The Foundation operates with an all-volunteer board of directors and is formed to manage several programs and serves as a funding agent for scholarships and grants. Academic coach program is a year-long program of teaching and learning formats for middle school and high school students. Academic activities focus primarily on the total development of physically active students. Physical activities such as our Cross Skills Challenge is a challenging and competitive series of physical skills for students ages 8-14, designed to facilitate the application and appreciation of various fun sports activities.

  • Volunteers should be on time and dressed appropriately for managing physical activity with youth ages 8-14.
