Volunteer United/AmeriCorps Seniors Program is a program of United Way that recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County.
The mission of the organization where this opportunity is located is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless and indigent.
An experienced cook or passionate volunteer who loves preparing hot breakfast meals is wanted on Friday mornings from 7:00am until 10:30am to feed unhoused individuals at a daytime homeless safe haven.
Requirements are:
*Orientation and training.
*One 3.5 hour shift weekly, bi-monthly or monthly.
*Able to prepare meals for up to 70 individuals.
*Must be able to life heavy pots and pans.
*Standing, bending & lifting.
*Must be non-judgmental work well with others.
