Meals on Wheels for Northern Illinois is looking for friendly volunteers to deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in the Bloom Township communities of Chicago Heights, South Chicago Heights, Glenwood, Lansing, Lynwood, Olympia Fields, Park Forest and Steger. Meals are picked up at 3140 Enterprise Park Avenue in South Chicago Heights at 10:00 a.m. A typical route usually takes 40 minutes to one hour to complete.
Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday and must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License and auto insurance. They are also required to pass a background check.
