The largest marine park in the National Park System is looking for the right people to join our amazing team of Volunteers-In-Parks. This volunteer position in the Interpretive Division at Biscayne National Park is diverse. The duties require staffing the visitor center desk, responding to visitor inquiries, and assisting staff with special projects.
The desirable candidate must be passionate about the OCEAN and should love sharing this passion with others! You should also be a reliable self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and comfortable interacting with people from all around the world. We ask that the candidate be willing to devote a minimum of 4 hours per week. Due to the time commitment nature of this position, it is (typically) not well suited for community service or service-learning projects.
Preference will be given to those who are available to work shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, or weekend days.
PLEASE NOTE: Housing and transportation are NOT provided for this position.
