Volunteer Position: Social Media Team Member (Remote)

About KUTE:
KUTE (Knowledge Unlocked To Everyone) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational equity by providing underserved students with access to essential learning resources. Through initiatives like book drives, fundraising, and KUTE Kits, we’re closing the resource gap-locally and globally.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for creative and committed Social Media Team Members to help share our mission, increase engagement, and grow our online presence. This is a remote volunteer opportunity ideal for high school or college students, early-career professionals, or anyone passionate about digital storytelling and education advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
Contribute to content strategy, including campaign ideas, hashtag research, and audience engagement
Help manage daily posting, replies, and interactions with followers
Collaborate with the Social Media Director and other team members to align messaging with KUTE’s mission
Stay updated on relevant trends and nonprofit marketing strategies
Qualifications:
Familiarity with one or more major social media platforms
Strong writing or design skills (graphic design, video editing, Canva, or CapCut experience is a plus)
Detail-oriented and reliable with good time management
Passionate about education, youth empowerment, or nonprofit work
No professional experience required-just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Time Commitment: Flexible
Location: Remote (open to volunteers from any region)

We are the Knowledge Unlocked To Everyone (KUTE) Organization, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in South Jersey. Our mission is to bridge the gap In resources between students in our local, national, and international communities, and we are committed to promoting educational equity for all. In order to work towards this objective, we donate books and school supplies to schools that need them.
Description
The KUTE organization primarily focuses on book drives, in order to donate storybooks, novels, and textbooks to young readers. We started with a drive in partnership with Urban Promise to donate books to our local community in Camden, but we have expanded into New York, California, and are planning on holding a drive for a school in India.
Potential volunteers can expect a variety of tasks from researching potential partners for drives, decorating bins and posters for said drives, and helping organize and run community book fairs.
