Flexible Volunteer Opportunities: Be a Driver or Home Helper for Older Adults in Pasadena
Pasadena Village is seeking caring volunteers to assist older adults who need a little extra support, especially those impacted by the Eaton Fire. We’re currently recruiting Volunteer Drivers and "Home Helpers" to meet two pressing needs: transportation and clean air.
Volunteer Drivers
Help local older adults get to medical appointments, social gatherings, and more. Drivers will receive a list of upcoming requests and choose to fulfill only those that fit their schedule.
Home Helpers
Assist with the installation of HVAC air filters in the homes of older adults to ensure clean air after the fire. Helpers will respond to requests as needed from May 28th - June 20th in the Pasadena area, based on their availability. Pasadena Village will reach out in advance to further discuss details.
Background checks are required for both roles and drivers must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance in addition.

Pasadena Village is a nonprofit organization of adults over 55 whose mission is to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment, and inclusivenes s. Pasadena Village has over 200 active older adult members who live in the west San Gabriel Valley and adjacent areas. They stay connected via active walking and hiking outings, support groups and discussion groups, and they support each other and contribute to the local community as they age in place.
