Harlem Park Community Farm is a nonprofit farm based in Baltimore City's Harlem Park neighborhood. They specialize in growing culturally meaningful crops for the community and teach healthy cooking, yoga, and art classes. Every Thursday and Saturday, you can come volunteer for the farm from 8 am to 12 pm. This is a great opportunity to learn more about urban farming and gain skills to grow food for yourself and your community.

About Bmore Beautiful

Location:

1 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21201, US

Mission Statement

BMORE Beautiful is a grassroots peer-to-peer beautification program. The goal of the program is to not only change behaviors and attitudes towards the beautification of the City, but to also encourage residents, businesses, and organizations to become directly involved in activities and projects that will keep their neighborhoods clean.

Description

We work closely with neighborhoods on their unique beautification projects and cleanliness challenges, as well as provide educational literature, outreach materials, and other resources that residents can use to Keep BMORE Beautiful. There are six elements essential to our approach: community organizing, seasonal community champions summits, community improvement projects, troubleshooting, communication, and education.
