DESCRIPTION
Operation Meraki is seeking a passionate and skilled Pro Bono Grant Writer to help secure critical funding for our veteran-centered programs and initiatives. This volunteer will play a key role in expanding our impact through well-crafted proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with our mission
Write and edit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and reports
Collaborate with leadership to gather necessary program data and organizational details
Maintain a grant calendar and track submission deadlines and outcomes
Help develop a sustainable grant strategy and narrative framework
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising
Strong writing, editing, and research skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Passionate about supporting veterans and underserved communities
Able to commit 5-10 hours/month (remote/flexible)
