DESCRIPTION
Operation Meraki is seeking a passionate and skilled Pro Bono Grant Writer to help secure critical funding for our veteran-centered programs and initiatives. This volunteer will play a key role in expanding our impact through well-crafted proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify funding opportunities aligned with our mission

  • Write and edit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and reports

  • Collaborate with leadership to gather necessary program data and organizational details

  • Maintain a grant calendar and track submission deadlines and outcomes

  • Help develop a sustainable grant strategy and narrative framework

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising

  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Passionate about supporting veterans and underserved communities

  • Able to commit 5-10 hours/month (remote/flexible)
