I’m reaching out on behalf of La Comida, a Senior Nutrition Program proudly serving the Palo Alto community. Our mission is to nourish both the body and spirit by providing hot, nutritious meals and fostering social connection for seniors who may otherwise feel isolated. We serve lunch every weekday from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at two welcoming locations: Stevenson House (455 E. Charleston Rd) and First United Methodist Church (625 Hamilton Ave).
We are currently seeking community members like you to donate your time and/or professional skills by volunteering to serve lunch or lead a class or activity either before or after lunch. Whether your expertise is in painting, dancing, yoga, or another activity that encourages movement, creativity, or healthy living, your participation can have a meaningful impact on the lives of our seniors.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share your talents, connect with older adults, and make a difference in the lives of those who benefit greatly from interaction, learning, and community engagement.
