As an HRBP for Implicit Marginalia, you are the bridge between our mission and our people. You will design and nurture a thriving volunteer ecosystem, ensuring that each individual-whether new or longstanding-finds meaning, support, and growth within our collaborative environment. Your work enables volunteers to contribute to a project that is redefining the future of reading and knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement onboarding, engagement, and retention processes tailored to the unique needs of a dynamic, distributed volunteer community.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to volunteers and team leads, supporting their well-being, growth, and sense of belonging.

  • Facilitate regular check-ins, feedback loops, and recognition programs that celebrate contributions and foster a culture of learning and inclusion.

  • Collaborate with project and technical leads to anticipate talent needs, resolve challenges, and ensure alignment between people and project goals.

  • Maintain and update clear, inspiring role descriptions and expectations, drawing on best practices and our own evolving documentation.

Now, as we relaunch these foundational functions, we invite passionate, visionary volunteers to help us not only restore but reimagine how our community thrives.

As a founding member of our relaunched people management team, you will help architect a new era for Implicit Marginalia’s volunteer community. Your leadership will ensure that the lessons of the past inform a future where every volunteer feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.
