We are seeking several volunteers who are willing to attend SVT programs and nature outings to assist the program leader and help the program run smoothly.
Responsibilities:- Take attendance at the start of the walk or program, making sure all registered attendees are present
- On walks, remain at the back to ensure no participants are left behind
- Assist with materials during programs, including passing around handouts, plant samples, and other educational items as needed
- Take pictures of the programs and participants for SVT communications and social media
- Serve as a helpful presence throughout the walk/program and report any concerns or questions to the program leader or SVT Events & Engagement Manager
- Ability to walk outdoors for up to 3 hours and navigate trails
- Comfort engaging with participants of all ages
- Willingness to assist with light logistics, such as passing out materials
- Training Provided: Orientation with SVT staff regarding safety and expectations
- Hours: Approximately 2-3 hour commitment per walk or program
- Duration: Ongoing, as needed for public walks and events
- Location: Varies by program location
- Reports to: Events & Engagement Manager

Description
Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) is a regional land trust, founded in 1953. SVT is dedicated to conserving land and protecting wildlife habitat in the Concord, Assabet and Sudbury river basin. This is one of the most scenic, culturally rich, and historically significant regions in the United States. Today, approximately 3,100 members support SVT’s work in 36 different towns in the watershed.
SVT is responsible for the protection and care of diverse conservation lands that include wetlands, sensitive habitats, trails and other open spaces including major sanctuaries. SVT reservations are open to the public free of charge, and include trails for walking, bird watching, cross-country skiing and horseback riding.
