Join us on the Verona segment of the Three Rivers Water Trail for a river-based Water Trail Care Wednesday opportunity!
Volunteers will:
- Collect litter around the Verona Water Trail Launch and surrounding areas
Registration is limited to 15 participants total - if you prefer to bring your own vessel (kayak or canoe), we encourage you to do so. We will have seats in a kayak or canoe for those that do not.
Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and layered sleeves to be removed. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather, we will work through light to moderate rain. Bring a reusable water bottle, water will not be available. All other project supplies and equipment will be provided.
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email. An additional email will be sent the day prior to the workday with project details; registration after 12:00 pm will not receive the details email.

Description
Since 1991, Friends of the Riverfront has worked to protect and restore the riverfront in the Pittsburgh region through trail development and stewardship after decades of legacy pollution. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail now encompasses 33 miles of urban and suburban riverfront trails along both banks of the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers. Through broad and diverse collaborations, we continue to work towards and promote environmental restoration, economic vitality, and public health benefits for Allegheny County and Southwestern Pennsylvania.
