The American Red Cross has been serving our ill and injured service members since Clara Barton tended to the wounded during the civil war. That tradition continues with the Service to the Armed Forces Hospital Program in Military Treatment Facilities.
Red Cross volunteers host a coffee cart for veterans, active duty and their families, by working with facility staff to determine specific days and time that will have the greatest impact in support of the patients. The program allows participants to converse in an informal setting and enjoy coffee & donuts.
