Improve the lives of citizens of the City of Worcester!
What do our volunteers do?
- Provide emergency preparedness training and information to the Worcester community to build resilience in emergencies
- Support emergency responses and recovery actions for large displacements
- Provide mutual aid assistance to surrounding communities for emergencies and community events
Who can volunteer?
- Anyone (18+)
- No prior experience necessary, we’ll provide training to you at no cost!

How are we trained?
- The CERT Basic Training Program is a hybrid course! We offer a self-paced online training and guide you through our practical skills in person.
- Our training will encompass every skill you will need for your volunteer work!

Mission Statement
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness in an all-hazards approach to each step of the emergency management process. CERT members respond to emergency calls within the City of Worcester as well as participate in a variety of community events for our constituents.
Description
Worcester Emergency Management and Worcester CERT has grown exponentially the past two years, and we are looking for more volunteers to join our team!
Priorities:
- Provide emergency preparedness training and information to the Worcester community to build resilience in emergencies
- Support emergency responses and recovery actions for large displacements
- Provide mutual aid assistance to surrounding communities for emergencies and community events
