Anacostia Park Care Day

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

It might have "cost" in its name, but Anacostia Park is absolutely priceless.

That's why Friends of Anacostia Park are holding a Park Care Day event on May 17, and they're looking for volunteers to help with its projects. You'll have the chance to clean up litter, remove invasives plant species, and keep the grounds welcoming for all the people who visit and cherish this park.

Meet at the Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavilion at 10:00 AM where volunteer leaders will provide all supplies, orientation, and training (for invasives removal). Come ready with layers of clothing you can adjust to your chosen task and bring plenty of water with you. too.
