In YMCA Afterschool Programs, we’re dedicated to providing a safe, enriching environment where children can thrive outside of school hours. Our Afterschool Programs combine dedicated homework time, enrichment activities, and playtime to create the perfect environment for kids to learn, grow, and thrive. Most importantly, our programs foster academic success, physical well-being, and social development in a fun and supportive setting!

As an Afterschool Program Volunteer, you’ll assist YMCA staff in providing homework help, playing games, organizing fun activities, and ensuring all program participants are learning, growing, and thriving!

Schedule - Our Afterschool Programs run Monday through Friday from around 3 PM to 6 PM, depending on location. Flexible scheduling - we’ll work with you to determine a volunteer schedule based on your availability!

Program Participants - Our elementary afterschool program participants are ages 5 - 11 and our junior high afterschool program (Teen Club) participants are ages 11 - 14. Let us know which age group you’re interested in volunteering with.
