We’re looking for a team of 8 volunteers to join us for a meaningful coat-packing project at the Catholic Charities Milwaukee Area Office. Your help will directly support individuals and families in need.
Volunteer Tasks Include:
- Sorting donated coats by size and gender (male/female)
- Using a Sharpie to black out brand names
- Removing price tags
- Organizing and preparing coats for distribution
Details:
- Where: Catholic Charities Milwaukee Area Office: 2021 N. 60th St., Milwaukee, WI 53208
- When: To be determined based on the group's availability. The sorting and packing usually takes 2 hours.
- Light physical activity required
- Must be 16 years or older
All volunteers must complete:
- Catholic Charities background check forms
- Client confidentiality agreement
Make a Real Impact:
Your time and effort will ensure that each coat is ready for someone who truly needs it. This is a great opportunity for individuals or small groups looking to give back in a hands-on way.

Description
Catholic Charities mission to "provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same" has been the core of our work since 1920. We measurably improve the lives of the poor in our communities and empower them to reach their full potential. When we accomplish this, lives are transformed and the benefits to the community can be exponential starting by improving the quality of life one person at a time.
With an outpouring of support from the community, we are able to help the poorest among us. We help people of all faiths, ages and cultures improve their ability to be self-sufficient, raise a family in more stable and healthy homes, escape violence, cope with emotional and behavioral challenges, and overcome barriers to a better life.Our Programs and Services:
