Pet Therapy Volunteers and their dogs visit patients in their facilities or in their homes!
The joy a pet brings with their unconditional love is like no other. For our patients a special visit can enhance their lives in a unique way.
All Pet Parents must complete Volunteer Training (16 hours) and complete Level 2 Background Screen. Pets must be certified with recognized pet therapy organization.
Hours are flexible! Support and Ongoing Training Provided!

Affinity Care Hospice's mission to provide the terminally ill patient and their loved ones with the support and care they require to live their lives comfortably. Our Hospice team strives to enable the patient and family to maintain dignity and quality of life. Our goal is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort through our gold standards of care. We strive to empower the patient and family by providing them with the tools, information and support for as long as needed. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate and caring individuals who can volunteer through direct patient care (at homes or facilities)
* Respite-stay with patient to give caregivers time for self care and other necessary duties.
*Social Visits-Read/Play games/Take on a stroll or Visit with patient.
*Vigil-support at bedside during transition
*Run errands/Shop/Minor household chores.
*VETERANS Participate in honor ceremony and unique support for those who have served their country.
