Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and make a real difference in someone's life? Our Hospice Volunteer Program is looking for a compassionate heart and a desire to help others. This is a powerful opportunity to support patients in their final stages of life with dignity and care. We’re looking for volunteers interested in capturing meaningful moments through respectful photography of our patients’ hands. There is no set schedule-visits are flexible and arranged based on the requests of the patient’s family, making it easy to volunteer on your own time.

Description
Silverado Hospice provides care for terminally ill patients in their home, nursing home or assisted living facilities. Hospice volunteers are ordinary people of all ages with extraordinary love and a common bond concern for others. Volunteers can touch lives in many ways. As little as a few hours a week can truly make a difference in your life and someone else's. Volunteers are an integral part of the Silverado Hospice Circle of Care. Our trained volunteers spend time with patients and families to provide support and love in many ways. They keep patients company, read to them, or take them for walks. They give care relief to weary caregivers, run errands, help in the office and provide bereavement support to grieving families. Individuals with musical, artistic, sewing, and quilting skills are welcome.
