Do you want to directly support your community and help ensure families have access to nutritious food? Sun Valley Kitchen and Community Center is seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers for our vital No Cost Grocery Program, serving the residents of the Sun Valley neighborhood.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact by assisting with both our grocery distribution and meal preparation efforts. Tasks are varied and engaging, offering something for everyone!

As a volunteer, you might be involved in:

• Receiving Deliveries (Wednesdays & Saturdays): Helping our team unload and organize fresh produce and food donations as they arrive. This can involve some light lifting.
• Grocery Distribution (Wednesdays & Saturdays): Cheerful volunteers are needed to run pre-packed grocery bags out to program participants as they move through the distribution line. This is a great way to interact with the community!
• Meal Preparation Assistance (Wednesdays & Saturdays): Assist our kitchen team with plating and bagging the 120 warm, nutritious meals we prepare for program participants each distribution day.
• Post-Program Clean-Up (Wednesdays & Saturdays): Lending a hand with tidying up the kitchen and distribution areas after the program concludes. This helps us keep our space organized and efficient.

Time Commitment:

We have flexible volunteer opportunities available on:

• Wednesdays: Between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM
• Saturdays: Between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM

You can volunteer for the entire time slot or a portion of it, depending on your availability. Every hour helps!
