ORGANIZATION: Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership

  • 3 people are interested

Happy National Small Business Week from the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL)! As an NGO dedicated to enhancing small business owners’ access to capital, knowledge, and resources, we’re excited to provide 100% virtual volunteer opportunities to assist small business owners with various aspects of their business. These opportunities are not limited to the month of May - join any time!

IFEL offers different ways to volunteer, depending on what works best for your schedule and interests.

1. Hackathon Session: "One and done" focused sessions

Work one-on-one with a small business owner on a specific aspect of their business. These virtual sessions last two hours and focus on one of three topics: financial projections, website review, or social media marketing.

2. Success Circles: Flexible, Ongoing Volunteer Engagement

Assist a small business owner through ongoing volunteering focused on a specific topic. Volunteers and business owners coordinate their own schedules, typically committing to 2-3 sessions lasting 1-2 hours each.

Any business-related skills are helpful, but especially:

    • Website review

    • Marketing (planning, social media, etc.)

    • Pitch deck building and review

    • Financial projections

To learn more about these opportunities, schedule a volunteer interview at the link provided. We’ll share more about the organization and get to know you better to find your best fit as an IFEL volunteer!
