Love the idea of helping others without ever leaving the building? Join our kitchen crew at Meals on Wheels Yolo County and help prepare and pack meals that will be delivered directly to homebound seniors.
Kitchen Aides are the heartbeat of our morning operation, packing, organizing, and prepping the meals that go out each day. You don’t need professional kitchen experience, just a good attitude and a willingness to lend a hand.
Location: Woodland Meal Production Kitchen
Days Available: Monday through Thursday
Shift Time: Flexible between 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Choose Your Own Shift: You can stay for 1 hour or up to 4-whatever fits your schedule!

The meals you help prepare directly support isolated seniors across Yolo County who depend on us for nutrition, care, and connection. You’ll be making a meaningful difference... bright and early! :)

To nourish and enrich the lives of individuals in Yolo County with emphasis on those age 60 and older, by providing nutritious meals and social connections to active and home-bound people; thereby, promoting their health, well-being, and independence.

Meals on Wheels Yolo County has been dedicated to ensuring that no senior in our community goes hungry or feels alone. Our mission is simple yet profound: to deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors while providing vital social connections.
Our programs are designed to support the health and independence of older adults, allowing them to remain in their homes with dignity. Each meal we deliver is a lifeline, not only nourishing the body but also lifting the spirits of those we serve.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our volunteers and donors, we have been able to achieve remarkable milestones. But our work is far from done. We need compassionate volunteers to join our cause. By dedicating just 90 minutes once a week, bi-weekly, once a month, or act as an on-call substitute, you can make a significant impact. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization, delivering more than just meals-they deliver hope, care, and connection.
