Since 1993, the Graand Kinetic Challenge has been held on the 3rd weekend of July in Corvallis, Oregon. This fabulous event hosts teams from up and down the West Coast. Putting on this iconic event is no small feat and involves the contributions of a small army of volunteers. This position is for the well-organized individual who can help us manage that army. This is critical and much appreciated work - but you won't be alone. Our committee has experience across all aspects of the race and they will be ready to help absolutely whenever needed.

The volunteer coordinator will work with our site coordinators to ensure that their staffing needs are met after putting together a comprehensive assessment of days, sites, and skills required (with our help). You will work with our marketing gurus to put out the word and collect volunteers through SignUpGenius. Manage communication with our army of volunteers to make sure that they stay engaged, show up, and know where to go and what to do.

Planning meetings are held bi-weekly in various locations around Corvallis but virtual attendance at those is ok. The race event itself happens July 19th and 20th where it is all hands on deck at locations including Avery Park, Crystal Lake Park, Waterfront Park, Michael's Landing, and the Benton County Fairgrounds.
