Are you looking to get more involved in the Developmental Disabilities Community? We need YOU!

The DES Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is looking for volunteers to serve on the Program Review Committees (PRC) and the Independent Oversight Committees (IOC). DDD has five districts throughout the state. Each district has an IOC and PRC that meet virtually. These committees review behavorial plans and incident reports to ensure the protection of member's rights, prevention of abuse, neglect, explotation and that the best practices are being followed. The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to lead self-directed, healthy and meaningful lives. DDD provides supports and services for eligible Arizonans.

Description

DDD provides supports and services to individuals diagnosed with one of the following developmental disabilities *Autism *Cerebral palsy *Epilepsy *Down Syndrome *Intellectual Disability; or *are under the age of six and at risk of having a Developmental Disability. DDD serves more than 47,000 people with development disabilities and their families throughout Arizona, each year.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Weekly and Monthly weekdays, hours varies 4-20 hours a week.
  • Article IX (Arizona’s required training for service providers on the rights of people with disabilities) (will be provided if the applicant has yet to complete this training) Training with Chairs of both committees.
