Tear Down Old Fence for 79-Year-Old
ORGANIZATION: SeniorHelp Volunteer Program
Please visit the new page to apply.
This older adult would appreciate your help in tearing down an old fence that is broken and aged. Slates can be broken apart and put in trash. This homeowner is unable to get this done alone.
Your help in removing this fence will beautify the property and enable the client to live longer, and more independently, in their own home.
Please join us in SeniorHelp to provide volunteer assistance to older adults that will improve the quality of their lives.

Mission Statement

Description
SeniorHelp is a program offered through the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. SeniorHelp volunteers provide direct services to aging adults in the community needing assistance with such things as transportation, companionship, home maintenance, household/personal assistance (light housekeeping, organization, reading mail, laundry, etc.), interior/exterior painting, yard work, snow removal, and delivery of weekday Meals on Wheels. Our program coordinates both ongoing matches and one-time assignments. Volunteers can commit as little or as much time as they choose and most of our opportunities allow flexibility in scheduling.
All of our volunteers must be 19 yrs old or accompanied by a parent/guardian when volunteering. Because of the vulnerability of our clients, we are unable to disclose client information and set up assignments until a volunteer has enrolled in our program by completing an application. In addition to the application, etc., we screen volunteers by conducting a criminal background check and personal reference checks
