NorthStar Home Hospice is looking for certified/registered pet therapy teams to visit our patients living in their own homes and in assisted living facilities throughout the Greater Cincnnati area, including Loveland! Visits from dogs and their human counterparts can lift hospice patients' spirits, be a calming presence, and make them smile at a time they need it most.

If you're already a certified/registered pet therapy team we want to hear from you! If your dog is not certified/registered yet, check out one of the organizations below for details:

Pet thearpy volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team! We provide the human member of the team with ongoing support, comprehensive orientation/training, and screenings at no cost to you. Once you complete your orientation and screenings, we will strive to assign you and your dog close to home, and based on your schedule and availability.

Your dog must have:

  • current license
  • record of up-to-date shots
  • registration/certification through Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International.
