About Aggie's Attic Thrift Store

Location:

6913 Lakeside Avenue, Henrico, VA 23228, US

Mission Statement

AGGIE'S ATTIC THRIFT Store is a Mission of Greenwood UMC. It is packed with donated items from GUMC members and others from the Henrico County and greater-Richmond area. Aggie's Attic's mission is to provide low-priced items to members of the community who need them, while donating all net proceeds to worthwhile area charities. Some of the groups that Aggie's has helped are the Henrico Christmas Mother, the Lamb's Basket (a local food pantry serving the Richmond Metro area), & multiple families from various local elementary schools.

Description

Aggie's Attic is a volunteer-run retail store where all of our profits are donated back into the community. We have been open since September 2014, and our goal is to serve as many customers and help them get great deals on quality items. We want to give back to our community, and focus mainly on the hungry and children. Our Backpack Program is our biggest program and what we are most proud of. The program provides weekend meals to local students so that they are guaranteed meals over the weekend, while not in school getting free lunch. We pack over 150 lunches per week! Each dollar that we collect will feed a hungry child 1 meal. We would love to see this program grow, and serve more hungry children!
