Calling all Detroit, Michigan area volunteers!
The Warrant Clinic is community-led grassroots organizing program to help those who have failure to appear warrants because of misdemeanor offenses and traffic violations. This program creates an entry point to activism and civic engagement by eliminating the fear of arrest and waiving fines, by taking the court out of the courtroom and putting it in the community, we are able to relieve the anxiety and fear of arrest that many Black and Brown people feel when going into courtrooms, police stations, and so-called justice centers.
What will you do as a volunteer? Support community members who are going through the clinic. The support you will provide will be vital, so only sign up if you can commit to attending at the specified date, time, and location.

Mission Statement
Our goal is to increase power in marginalized, predominantly Black communities. We agree with the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. when he said, "Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love."
Description
Black Voters Matters works to increase power in marginalized, predominantly Black communities. And while effective
voting is an important way for a community to determine its own destiny, that’s only one way the organization strives to
build power. In addition to voting and electoral organizing, Black Voters Matter supports community-based organizations
working on a wide range of issues such as mass incarceration, gentrification, health care, education and more.
