THE POSITION:
The Volunteer Manager is a remote opportunity to recruit volunteers for Best Day. This is a critical role as volunteers currently run all aspects of the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Confer with Executive Director and lead volunteers to determine volunteer needs.
- Create and manage listings on volunteermatch.org.
- Review applications and schedule and hold screening interviews.
- Connect qualified, screened applicants to appropriate lead volunteer for follow-up interview and role placement.
- On-board new volunteers with welcome email, addition to volunteer roster/email lists, and monthly email or phone check-ins for initial 90 days to ensure smooth integration and support.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates MUST:
- Have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and in a group.
- Be a reliable and dedicated team members whose values are aligned with Best Day’s mission.
- Relevant experience preferred.
