Date: Saturday, June 14, 2025 Various Opportunities between Time: 8:00 am until 7 pm.
Location: Bronzeville, Chicago 60653
A family-centered celebration symbolizing self-love and freedom, blending history with contemporary culture. Activities will include:
- Live performances (music, spoken word, and dance)
- Family-friendly interactive art stations
- Community storytelling sessions
- Historical reenactments honoring resilience and liberation
Volunteer Type's
- Help with set up or breakdown (With 3 shifts 8am to 1pm or 1 pm to 4 pm or 3pm -6:30 pm
- Help with onsite consumer collection of pre and post event surveys and feedback forms. (With 3 shifts 11 am to 1pm or 1 pm to 4 pm or 3pm -6 pm)
- Oversee Senior Pavillion (assist on June 14, 2025 those in the golden years) (With 3 shifts 11 am to 1pm or 1 pm to 4 pm or 3pm -6 pm)
- Vendor Patrol (Assist onsite vendors with registration, set up) 8 am until 12 pm.
- Decorating Team (Assist Friday June 13, 2025 for 3 hours) Time will be agreed upon. or (assist Saturday June 14, 2025 from 8 am until 12 pm).
- Clean up Crew (Assist with making sure all trash and debri is removed from 35 through 37th and King Drive after the event. ( 5pm to 7 pm)
- Community Adovate (Assist with anything needed positive at any station) (With 3 shifts 11 am to 1pm or 1 pm to 4pm or 3pm -6 pm Food will be provided for volunteers.

Description
We have a long-standing history of using arts and entertainment as a powerful tool to prevent violence and build community resilience since 2002. Our programs have consistently provided youth, families, and community members with positive outlets for self-expression, healing, and personal growth through theatrical performances, film projects and the creative arts.
Our programs and productions focus on the breaking of many societal, generational, and self-inflicted cycles in one’s journey that must be broken in order to progress in life. We also offer programs which implement new ways in how to relate to students by demonstrating interesting ways in approaching traditional academic subjects, such as reading, social studies and art.
