Our vibrant senior center in Laguna Hills is seeking a friendly and reliable volunteer to assist our Facility Manager!

Make a Real Difference: You'll play a vital role in ensuring our center is a welcoming and functional space for our senior community. Your efforts will directly contribute to the comfort and enjoyment of our clients.

Time Commitment: We are looking for someone available 1-2 days a week, ideally Wednesdays and potentially a Monday or Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are also open to some flexibility with these hours, potentially offering a longer shift on a single day.

What You'll Be Doing: This position involves a variety of tasks that help maintain our facility. While experience is a plus, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are what we value most! Responsibilities may include:

• Moving and arranging tables and chairs for activities and classes.
• Stacking chairs neatly for storage.
• Setting up rooms according to specific needs.
• Lifting and carrying items up to 35 lbs.
• Maintaining a clean environment through sweeping.
• Breaking down and disposing of cardboard boxes.
• Safely using ladders for various tasks.
• Lifting and emptying trash bags into the dumpster.
• Performing minor touch-up painting (spot painting).
• Caring for indoor plants by watering them.
• Washing windows to ensure a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
• Keeping the exterior of the building tidy by raking leaves and picking up trash.
• Trimming plants around the building.
