Test your skills as a seamstress by making customized teddy bears for patients' loved ones to keep after they pass away. Using the patients own clothing, you get to explore your creativity while helping others carry on their legacy!
AccentCare's Leaving a Legacy program helps support patients and families in creating a meaningful legacy project. This program is sponsored by the Seasons Hospice Foundation and is available to patients and families at no cost!
As a seamstress, we provide any supplies you may need to be successful with the teddy bears. This includes interfacing, stuffing, and a pattern to follow. Our seamstresses start with a test bear before moving on to patient's clothing. Most seamstresses will commit to about 2 bears a month, but we are flexible based on your availability!
