VITAS Healthcare is looking for volunteers who can share their time with patients residing in their own homes in the Wright City, MO 66390. Patient Care Volunteers offer companionship, provide conversation, socialization, play music and games, read to patients, and help in other meaningful ways.
Volunteers visit VITAS patients to provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering on communication skills, family dynamics and how to make a positive difference for patients and their caregivers. The days and times for volunteering are flexible according to your availability. Any time you can contribute is appreciated. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
