Thank you for considering coming out to help with our 15th Annual Pro-Am Fishing Tournament!
Olive Crest is looking for aproximately 20-25 volunteers for our annual Pro-Am Fishing Tournament which helps at-risk and abused children.
We all know that the greatest rewards come from the heart. know that you are parstnering with Olive Crest, a non-profit organization, to help prevent child abuse, treat and educate at-risk children and preserving the family . . "One Life at a Time."
We need volunteers for the following shifts listed below:
FRIDAY - JUNE 13th, 2025 - MORNING:
REGISTRATION AREA:
2 Volunteers to greet guests as they enter the Long Beach Yacht Club;
2 Volunteers to set up Opportunity GHifts and list out all gifts.
1 Volunteer to stand guard at our Radio Room which is being recorded LIVE on Angler Chronicles
2 Volunteers to help with checking in guests
3 Volunteers to help with passing out tee-shirts and make sure guests only take 1
2 Volunteers to pass out our rods/reels for the day.
NOTE: ALL MORNING VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME TO ENJOY A HEARTY BREAKFAST BEING SERVED ONCE WE FINISH WITH THE MORNING SHIFT!
MID-MORNING
10:30 AM - 12:00 NOON - 3-4 Volunteers to set up Retractable Banners i the Dining room; set up stage and Captain's bells
LATE MORNING TO AFTERNOON
10:30 AM - 112 NOON - 4 Volunteers - Fish Ruynners to help during weigh in
AFTERNOON
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM - 1 Volunteer to record fish weight during weigh in.
2:30 PM - 4:00PM - Help with breakdown, clean up and load anything going back to Olive Crest office in Santa Ana
4:00 PM - 1-2 Volunees to go back to Olive Crest, Santa Ana, and help unload extra at the office.
NOTE: ALL AFTERNOON VOLUNTEERS can stay and enjoy a great dinner being served while we give our awards out after the fishing tournament.

Description
In 1973, Dr. Donald and Lois Verleur took in four teenage girls and opened their first home for children in Orange County, California. Drawing from the olive tree in the front yard and the idea of a family crest, Olive Crest, a name symbolizing "peaceful family," was born.
Today, more than 40 years later, Olive Crest has grown to become a leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse, serving nearly 3,000 children and families each day throughout California, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest.
Though four decades have passed, the Verleurs’ original commitment to the individual needs of at-risk youth continues to fuel Olive Crest’s mission to make a difference "One Life at a Time"
