Hospice Compassus is looking to match talented volunteers with elders near the end of life who have a tale to tell. A life story volunteer capture a patient's meaninful moments and can develop a scrap book or other ideas to capture a biography featuring the patient recalling his or her life stories.
Hospice Compassus volunteer orienation is provided free of charge to help you learn many skills required to be and outstanding life story volunteer. A volunteer will also receive training in "life story/review" interview techniques, and to improve their techincal and creative skills.
Hospice Compassus is very flexible for sceduling training around the volunteer's scedule.
Hospice Compassus provides coverage for the following counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery.

Description
Hospice care is a type of healthcare that aims to reduce suffering and promote comfort at the end of and promote comfort at the end of an individual's life. Pain and any other symptoms are managed around the clock, and the hospice team focuses greatly on spiritual and emotional health as well.
The foundation of hospice includes nursing care with an emphasis on managing symptoms, practical assistance, and emotional support. Caring for a loved one at home can be challenging. Our goal is to provide timely services to help your family make the most of your time together.
