The Council on Aging of Volusia County's Respite Care program is a beacon of support and balance for caregivers navigating the challenges of early-stage Alzheimer’s, dementia or Parkinson’s Disease. By providing seniors with vibrant, engaging activities in safe and nurturing environments, we not only enrich their lives but also offer invaluable relief to caregivers, allowing them to manage their time more effectively while alleviating stress and acquiring essential coping skills.
We invite compassionate volunteers to join our dedicated team, assisting the Program Manager in creating meaningful connections with our clients through diverse activities, lunch service and joyful celebrations for birthdays and holidays. Your involvement can make a profound difference in the lives of both our senior clients and their caregivers, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration that embodies our mission at COA. Description
The Council On Aging of Volusia County is a private not-for-profit agency providing services to promote the health, safety and productivity of all residents of Volusia County, Florida. Its clients are primarily, but not limited to, those citizens over the age of 60 and their families. The individual programs of the Council On Aging are directed to the twin goals of personal self-sufficiency and independent living.
