Balsam Mountain Campground Host

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Thank you for interest in camp hosting at Great smoky Mountains National Park. We have 10 campgrounds across the park and greatly appreciate volunteer help in making memorable stays for our park visitors. As a camp host, you may be checking campers in at a camp kiosk, educating overnight guests about park and camp rules and regulations, providing hiking and general information, as well as roving the campground for safety and public engagement. You may also be able to take on special projects, depending on your particular interests.

This position would be a 32 hours/week commitment from anybody who occupies the trailer pad you would be provided. Depending on the location, the job description varies a bit but would likely be independent work in a remote area of the park, with the possibility of little or no cell phone reception. We provide park radios for communication inside the park. Most trailer pads provided will have water, sewer, and 30-amp electric hook-ups. Another requirement of this position is that you must be self-contained and have a completely hard-sided camping unit. If you are interested in more information about this position, please feel free to reach out. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Balsam Mountain Campground Host: May 23rd - June 30th & September 1st - October 31st (water & sewage, no electric)
