You can care for hospice patients and their families by helping create a beautful small garden.
Our new Hospice Unit in Oswego, IL has a few raised box areas that border the outdoor seating and patio of the unit. If you are a gardener, you know that growing things can bring peace and joy to those that are suffering. Our goal is to create a space to enjoy but also to produce cutting flowers that can be shared with patients in their rooms or common areas.
We envision a team of 1-3 people that would be willing to design, plant and maintain the garden and a few flower pots on a weekly basis. The area is not huge and will be a joy to care for.
